We have been waiting all summer to share this news, and the big day finally arrived!
On Tuesday, August 18th, Charlie welcomed eight beautiful Red Labrador puppies into the world. We have five girls and three boys, and we are happy to report that Charlie and her puppies are doing great.
Eight Little Bundles of Joy
Charlie did an amazing job after being in labor almost 24 hours. It was a long day for her but she has settled right back into being a mom. She is attentive, patient, and rarely lets those little puppies get too far away from her. Charlie is a very protective mom.
The puppies are spending most of their time doing exactly what newborn puppies are supposed to do: eating, sleeping, snuggling with Mom, and occasionally making enough noise to remind us that there are eight of them! We actually can’t believe how loud these little ones can get.
It is always amazing how quickly the puppy room changes once a litter arrives. After months of planning, progesterone testing, a road trip to see Clifford, waiting for pregnancy confirmation, and then counting down the final days, suddenly we have eight tiny puppies depending on us around the clock.
And we wouldn’t have it any other way.
Five Girls and Three Boys
This litter gave us a few more girls than boys, with five females and three males.
Charlie and Clifford produced a beautiful litter together in 2025, which was one of the reasons we were so excited to pair them again. Both have wonderful temperaments and beautiful dark red coats, and we cannot wait to watch these eight little ones grow and see their individual personalities begin to emerge. Like her last litter, they all have a consistent and exceptional red color.
Right now, however, their priorities are pretty simple. Eat. Sleep. Find Mom. Repeat.
The Fun Is Just Beginning
The first several days are all about making sure Charlie is comfortable and that every puppy is nursing, gaining weight, and getting the best possible start.
Before long, those little eyes will begin to open, wobbly legs will start figuring out how to walk, and the quiet puppy box will turn into eight curious Labradors ready to explore everything around them.
That is when the real fun begins.
We will be sharing plenty of photos and updates over the next several weeks so everyone can follow along as the puppies grow. For now, we are enjoying these first few days with Charlie and her five little girls and three little boys.
Welcome to the world, little ones. We are so happy you’re here!
Note: All of the puppies from this litter are reserved.
