** Note: All pups from this litter are currently reserved.
Hi everyone! We know many of you have been waiting for the very first video of our newest litter, and we’re so excited to finally introduce these sweet pups to you. Born on November 2, this litter is extra special for a few reasons—and today we’ll give you your first real look.
Meet the Litter and See the Video
This is Charlie’s first time as a mama, and she’s doing a fantastic job. The litter may be small—just five puppies—but they’re big in every other way. These pups are thick, stocky, and growing fast. It’s our first time combining English and American lineage, and the English traits are definitely coming through in their build and temperament. Think short, blocky, and sturdy.
At the time of filming, the pups had just finished nursing and were in full-on milk coma mode. Most were sound asleep, snuggled in and completely content. Even though they’re only two weeks old, a few of them are already opening their eyes and even starting to get their feet under them. Check out the video below.
Eyes Starting to Open and Sizes
Blue and Orange are currently tied as the biggest pups in the litter, each weighing in at three pounds, seven ounces. Red is close behind at three pounds, five ounces. Aqua and Purple round out the group, with Purple being the smallest, as the only female in the litter.
Both Red and Purple have started to open their eyes, which is a little ahead of schedule. Normally that milestone happens closer to week three, but this group seems eager to take on the world. Their mobility is coming along as well, and it’s clear they’re progressing right on track—if not a bit early.
We even discovered that Red loves a good chin scratch and may have found his tickle spot. It’s one of those little moments that reminds us how unique each puppy is.
White Paw Genetics in Action
One of our favorite parts of watching a new litter grow is seeing which traits get passed down. This litter comes from Ginger’s bloodline, and if you’ve followed us for a while, you’ll remember Ginger and her signature white toe. Her brother was the sire for this litter, and while he doesn’t have the white toe himself, that adorable little trait has shown up again in Orange. We were thrilled to see it—it’s like a little piece of Ginger showing up again in the next generation.
Charlie is Learning to be a Mom
Charlie has been a natural when it comes to caring for her pups. She keeps them clean and calm, and we help her out by changing their whelping box twice a day. Between her maternal instincts and our daily care routine, these pups are growing up in a clean, calm, and nurturing environment.
What’s Next?
At just two weeks old, the puppies are still nursing exclusively, but week three is right around the corner. That’s when we’ll start introducing them to puppy mush and begin the gradual weaning process. Their eyes will continue to open, they’ll become more mobile, and their personalities will start to shine even more.
We’ll continue to send updates as they grow, and we can’t wait for you to get to know each of them better. For now, enjoy this first look and know that your future best friend is off to a very healthy and happy start.
Thanks for following along, and we’ll see you again next week with more puppy progress.
