Charlie Has Five New Puppies
We are thrilled to share the exciting news—Charlie welcomed her very first litter of puppies on Sunday, November 2nd, 2025!
It all began the day before, on Saturday, when Charlie started showing signs of early labor. She spent most of the day panting, pacing, and nesting. It is always fascinating to watch a first-time mama prepare. Unlike Ginger, who always made a beeline for the nearest closet, Charlie had her own approach. She gathered every blanket she could find, pulled them into a pile, and then curled them into a cozy little ball. It was clear she was on a mission to create the perfect spot to welcome her pups.
By 11:00 PM on Saturday, Charlie’s active labor had officially begun, and at 1:30 AM Sunday morning, she delivered her very first puppy. Over the next several hours, she brought five beautiful, healthy puppies into the world, one sweet little girl and four handsome boys. My only wish is that once, just once, our females would deliver during normal daylight hours :-)
Both mom and pups are doing incredibly well. Charlie has taken to motherhood like a natural. She is attentive, gentle, and already forming a strong bond with her little ones. The puppies are nursing well, squirming around with plenty of energy, and have the most adorable little squeaks.
We could not be more proud of Charlie and are so excited to watch this litter grow. We will be sharing more updates and photos soon as these little ones begin to open their eyes and show off their personalities.
