Hi everyone! Can you believe it’s already Week 3? Time is flying, and these Red Fox Labrador pups are growing like crazy. This week has been full of exciting firsts—and a whole lot of cuteness.
Eyes Wide Open and Tiny Teeth!
Let’s start with the big news: everyone’s eyes are open now! It’s amazing how quickly they’ve gone from tiny little potatoes to wide-eyed explorers. Not only that, but—drumroll please—we’ve got teeth! Yep, those little puppy chompers have started coming in. You probably won’t catch them on camera just yet (they’re a bit camera shy), but they’re definitely there.
First Adventures Outside 🐾
We also started giving the puppies some outdoor playtime this week. We’ve got a little patch of artificial turf at the house, and we’ve been taking them out a couple of times a day—usually in the cooler evening hours after dinner.
To be honest, they’re still getting used to the big outdoors. Everything is new and a little strange compared to the comfort of their whelping box and mom’s side. But that’s okay! These little moments help build their confidence, and it’s fun to watch them take it all in at their own pace.
Weight Watch: Who’s the Biggest Pup?
It’s always fun to check in on how everyone is growing—and wow, are they growing fast!

Lime Green (Female) is officially our biggest girl. She’s a total chunk and weighs in at 2,250 grams.

Blue (Male) is still holding the title as our biggest boy, and wouldn’t you know it—he’s tied with Lime at 2,250 grams as well!
These two are neck-and-neck in the puppy growth race, but really, all the pups are healthy and thriving.
Deworming Day
We also had our first round of deworming this past week. Not exactly their favorite experience (can’t blame them), but it’s a necessary part of keeping them strong and healthy. Everyone handled it like a champ!
What’s Coming Next?
As we head into Week 4, here’s what we’re looking forward to:

A little more confidence and curiosity during outdoor playtime

Maybe some wobbly but hilarious attempts at running

Early signs of play and social behavior

Starting to introduce soft foods and transition away from exclusive nursing
Every day brings a little more personality out of these pups, and we’re soaking in every moment.
