Hi everyone! 👋 If we haven’t met yet, I’m Joel—Kerri’s husband and the other half of My Red Fox Labs. While you usually hear from Kerri (aka the puppy queen 🐶👑), I’m stepping in this week to give you all the scoop from home base.
Where’s Kerri? On a Very Special Mission to Minnesota!
This week, Kerri traveled to Minneapolis, Minnesota to pick up our next breeding female—Lainey! You might be wondering, Why go all the way there for a pup? It all comes down to something that’s really important to us: genetic diversity.
We’re committed to raising the healthiest, happiest Red Fox Labradors possible. That means bringing in dogs from across the country with varied genetic profiles. For example:

Ginger comes from the Pacific Northwest 🌲

Charlie hails from Ohio 🌽

And now Lainey joins the crew from the great state of Minnesota ❄️
This ensures we’re not concentrating similar bloodlines or traits, which helps avoid potential health risks and keeps our puppies well-rounded in both temperament and physical characteristics.
Meanwhile, Back at the Ranch… Chaos! 😅
While Kerri’s been away, I’ve been flying solo with the puppies—and let me tell you, it’s been a busy few days! Between caring for our six growing pups, feeding and managing the adult dogs, and even handling our new chicken arrivals, it’s been non-stop action here.
I also got a huge assist from our daughter, who’s been helping with feedings and cleanup while I filmed and edited this week’s update. Shoutout to her—couldn’t have done it without you! 🙌
Oh, and yes… the video was posted a day late this time. Thanks for your patience—puppy wrangling is a full-time gig!
What’s Coming Next?
Kerri is officially on her way home with Lainey, and we cannot wait to introduce her to all of you in next week’s video. She’s a beautiful addition to our family and will be a key part of our program heading into 2027 and beyond.
